課程概述 |
本課程旨在介紹社會與行為科學的基本概念與理論，重心放在健康、疾病、以及健康相關的醫病溝通行為及醫療組織的社會學研究，為一門導論課程。從深度與廣度而言，任何健康議題皆與行為有關，而行為的形塑又與社會脈絡有關。社會脈絡可以包括人際關係、家庭、工作團體、組織、社群、社區，以致於整個社會。由於相關的現象愈形錯綜複雜，因此也須要社會科學知識體系中的不同領域，由不同的角度與方法加以檢視，以瞭解問題的本質及形成機轉，而能從不同層次解決問題。
This course provides students with concepts and theories of social and behavioral sciences, and focuses on health inequality, social determinants of health, health-related behaviors, doctor-patient communication, and sociological approach of medical organizations. |

課程目標 |
培養學生認識重要社會與行為科學理論與概念，及其在健康與醫療上的應用，並能以此為基礎，探討當代健康議題。
修習本課程之後，學生能：
1. 瞭解健康的社會與行為科學的相關理論與概念
2. 掌握既有文獻對健康的社會、心理與行為決定因子的研究成果
3. 運用相關社會與行為科學的研究及理論概念來剖析當代健康議題，如兒童肥胖、青少年物質使用等議題，並提出政策介入的可能方向
The aim is to provide students with knowledge of the theories and concepts of social and behavioral sciences, and their application in health and medical systems, and to explore contemporary health issues. After completing this course, students will be able to:
1. Understand the theories and concepts of social and behavioral sciences
2. Synthesize current issues related to social, psychological and behavioral determinants of health
3. Apply theories and concepts of social and behavioral sciences to analyze the contemporary health issues, and propose the possible way of policy intervention |

出席、課堂報告、小組討論及參加期中期末考試 (attendance, class report, team discussion, and mid-final exams)
**本學期課程採小組報告方式進行討論，學期中請假不得超過5次以上。
